The career planning platform for Black professionals.
Black Owned and Hiring is a career planning platform that helps Black professionals find diverse and inclusive employment opportunities from companies that have a reputation of treating Black employees fairly. The platform will feature company demographics and employee reviews written from the Black perspective, curated news and resources addressing topics Black professionals face at work, and at the core, we highlight professional employment opportunities at Black-owned/led companies.
WHAT WE DOFor Black Professionals
The BOH platform was created to help Black professionals find truly inclusive work environments. Corporate diversity and inclusion programs are notoriously failing Black employees. Dealing with microaggressions, racism, harsher punishments, and less pay, create a unique and difficult journey for Black professionals. In order for true change to occur, transparency and documented experiences need to be highlighted.
WHAT WE DOFor Black-Owned Businesses
Black-owned businesses can post their open professional positions to connect with Black talent and allies looking for inclusive work environments. Held to the same standard of transparency, Black-owned businesses can stand behind a healthy work culture for all. As our platform grows, companies will have the opportunity to find other Black-owned companies to partner with, creating more economic advancements in our community.
WHAT WE DOFor Corporate Allies
The BOH platforms allows companies to put action behind diversity and inclusion statements by building relationships with Black talent and black-owned businesses. Hire and retain Black talent for open professional positions and partner with Black-owned businesses for supplier and service needs.
Jasmine created BOH to provide an outlet for Black professionals simply looking for a safe work environment.
